Dan Radcliffe addicted to boozing?

Whilst filming  for Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince, Dan Radcliffe claimed to have become reliant on alcohol to have fun. 

"As much as I would love to be a person that goes to parties and has a couple of drinks and has a nice time - that doesn't work for me."

However he hasn't touched a drop since August 2010.
